Mar 27, 2020Panic or Pivot - Your choice! THIS CRISIS IS AN IMMENSE GIFT. The crisis is not good, but you can USE it for good.
This crisis has taken the whole world by storm. Almost every country is implementing some form of lockdown lasting 2, 3 or more weeks. Many of the things that we used to do, we can no longer do. So, in order to get things done we are changing. Doing things differently. Some work. Some don't. Some work much better than before.
That is the key. If you are willing to pivot, and see this as an opportunity (and please don't read that I am saying this crisis is good - people are dying and suffering - it is terrible), but, if you are not caught in the terrible part of this crisis, you might discover things that you are doing differently now that you want to continue to do after the crisis has been averted. And that is the gift.
So often we get stuck in a rut, doing things that we have done for years because we don't have time or the desire to ask "What if we were to do things differently?" My challenge is for you to look at what you are doing now and ask yourself, is this actually better than what I was doing before? Is my family better off, my ministry, my business, my community because of what this is forcing us to do?
Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Spend time in prayer, ask God for wisdom, and then use the evil for good.
